AglaCharge — Privacy Policy

AglaCharge ("the app", "we", "us") is a peer-to-peer EV charging marketplace that connects consumers with charging station hosts. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how you can request its deletion.
Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, and/or phone number, used to create and secure your account.
- Location: precise device location, used to show nearby charging stations on the map and calculate distances.
- Photos: profile photos, and (for hosts) verification documents, used to personalize your profile and verify station hosts.
- Messages: chat messages exchanged between consumers and hosts through the app, used to facilitate bookings.
- App activity: bookings, searches, and favourites, used to operate core app features.
- Device identifiers: a push-notification token, used to deliver booking and chat notifications to your device.
How we use your information
We use the information above solely to operate the app's features — account access, station search, bookings, in-app chat, and notifications. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.
Who we share data with
- Google Maps — your location is sent to Google's Maps platform to render the map and find nearby stations.
- Firebase (Google) — your device's push-notification token is registered with Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver notifications.
We do not share your personal information with any other third parties.
Data security
Data sent between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
Account & data deletion
You can request deletion of your AglaCharge account at any time, in two ways:
In the app:
- Open AglaCharge and log in
- Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account
- Enter your password and type
DELETE to confirm
Without the app installed: email
suliman1474@gmail.com from the email address or phone number associated with your account, with the subject line "Delete my AglaCharge account", and we will process your request.
What happens when you delete your account
- Your account is deactivated immediately: you are logged out on all devices, and you cannot log back in.
- Your profile, photos, and booking activity are immediately hidden from other users and removed from all app functionality.
- Your underlying account records are retained in deactivated form in our database rather than being instantly erased. If you want your data permanently and completely erased rather than deactivated, email suliman1474@gmail.com and we will process a full erasure request within 30 days.
Children
AglaCharge is not directed at children and is intended for users 18 and over.
